One of my earliest memories is standing on a little stool at just two and a half years old in my very first Parks & Rec cooking class. At home, homemade meals and family dinners were just part of life and something we did together every night. Growing up in beautiful Sonoma County, where farm-to-table eating comes naturally, taught me to love good food and appreciate where it comes from.

As I got older, learning more about our food system completely changed the way I cooked, ate, and thought about health. After years of struggling with migraines, I discovered that slowing down and returning to from-scratch, whole-food cooking made a remarkable difference. What began as a way to feel better became a lifelong passion and a reminder that food can truly be medicine.

That realization reshaped everything. I began to see that the foundation for a healthy life has always been in the kitchen. Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s meant to be a simple, joyful part of everyday living.

Since 2008, I’ve been lucky enough to study and cook all over the world, from Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland to experiences in Italy, India, Turkey, and beyond, including Violet Cakes, Mast Chocolates, Daylesford Farm, and working with Jamie Oliver. I’ve taught at Relish Culinary School, earned a Master’s in Gastronomy in Italy, and in London taught GCSE Food & Nutrition as well as established the Food Studio, a culinary school at Sarum Hall School. These days, I split my time between Sonoma County and London, which are two places that constantly inspire me.

My background in education and my love for cooking come together in the food education programs I create. They’re all about helping people connect the dots between what we eat and where it comes from. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen developing recipes that make seasonal, local meals easy, fresh, and delicious & sharing them here.

I’d love to connect! Email me at eatwhatisgoodinfo@gmail.com or find me on Instagram.

See you in the kitchen,
Lindsey
